SONGS

He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the LORD.
Psalm 40:3 NLT

Sing songs from your heart to Christ.
Sing praises over everything,
any excuse for a song to God the Father
in the Name of our Master Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5:19 The Message

Father,
put Your Song into my heart – that which You long to hear.
Empower me to sing it faithfully and with all that is within me.
I fully understand that the musical quality of my voice, or the lack thereof, remains Your gift to me.
You will hear it.
May each song rise up – not from my head, but from deep within the innermost chambers of my human heart…

FOR YOU

Take each beat of my heart
Every breath that I breathe
Every song that I sing
Let it honor You
Let it rise to Your Throne
Moving deep in Your Heart
Loving all that You are
Let it be for You

May each step that I take
Every move that I make
Every prayer that I pray
Let it honor You
Let it rise to Your Throne
Moving deep in Your Heart
Blessing all that You are
Let it be for You

I lift my hands to touch Your Face
Reaching up for Your embrace
Loving You, loving me
You are all, I’ll ever need

Let each thought that I think
Every word that I speak
Everything that I do
Let it be for You
Let me rise to Your Throne
Hold me deep in Your Heart
Embracing all that You are
Let me be for You

I lift my hands to touch Your Face
Reaching up for Your embrace
Loving You, loving me
You are all, I’ll ever need...

ASTOUNDED

With Arms raised high
nails pierced Your Hands;
You bore all sin enjoyed by man.
Such agony
endured for me.
You are my God.
You are my King.

Your fragrant Love, It fills up all my senses
and moves my soul to bow in deepest reverence.

So I’ll exalt You, Lord
with hands uplifted high
and I will lift my heart to You beyond the highest skies,
and I will praise You with this very breath
that You have given me.
You are my God.
You are my King.

HERE AM I ~ SPEND ME

I place my heart upon Your Altar
with this prayer.
Please light the fires of Your holiness;
consume me.
I lift my hands
to fan the flame,
for You are all that I desire.
Here in this place,
bound by Your Grace,
You are my passion.

SURRENDER

O Father God,
I lift my hands and heart to You
declaring to the world my highest praise for You.
Come quickly, Lord –
please come inhabit now this place,
inhabit now my praise
within the throne room of Your Grace.

And I will shout with joy in greatest celebration
to the God Whose Mercy overflows the heavens
and floods the earth.

I lift my life and place it wholly in Your Hands
to surrender to the Plan You have for me.
Please guide my heart
that then my feet will find Your Way
and follow close to You with every breath I ever take.

And I will shout with joy in greatest celebration
to the God Whose Kindness overflows the heavens
and fills the earth.

I lift my heart.
I lift my hands.
I lift my life.
I lift my love.

CELEBRATION IN SUFFERING

There are times of desperation
when I don’t know what to do,
all I see are circumstances,
but all I want to see is You.
When the stormy clouds of darkness
seem to veil my broken heart,
Your Holy Spirit breaths on me
releasing me…

Lord, I know
You’re in the clouds.
You’re in the rain.
You’re in the lightning
and the thunder.
Hallelujah to Your Name.
You’re in the night.
You’re in the day.
You’ll never leave me nor forsake me.
You will never go away.
And I will praise You for Your Presence guiding me
when the road seems dark and my eyes just can’t see.

I’ll trust in You
and I will follow close behind.
I will walk within Your Footsteps –
every mountain I will climb.
Clinging tightly to Your Hand that holds creation,
I claim this suffering as a time of celebration.
For I know that You’re my Father,
and I thank You I’m Your child.

And I will praise You for Your Presence guiding me
when the road seems dark and my eyes just can’t see.
For I know that You’re my Father,
and I thank You I’m Your child.

I will walk within Your Footsteps –
every mountain I will climb.
Clinging tightly to Hand that holds creation,
I claim this suffering as a time of celebration…
Breathe on me…

FAITHFUL FRIEND

Faithful Father, Faithful Friend,
I want to taste Your Tears,
to feel Your Pain, to know Your Grief,
to share it as Your friend.
For You are near the brokenhearted,
and that’s where I want to be too…
to be Your Hands, Your Feet, Your Heart
to show the world a Love that’s True.

Faithful Father, Faithful Friend,
I want to feel You Smile,
to make You Laugh and long to Dance,
delighting in this child.
For You have filled my life with blessings,
I cannot count their cost,
but You’re my greatest Treasure,
expressed upon a Cross.

Isaiah 55

As I spend this time within Your awesome Presence,
please multiply the seed that I may sow
into the hearts of those who sit in darkness
within a world that sometimes seems so cold.

Please shine Your Light, displacing all their shadows,
and pour Your Living Water on these dry and thirsty souls,
and use my words and love to gently stir them
and for Your glory help them all to grow.

We shall go out with joy, and be led forth in peace,
the mountains and the hills will sing before us.
And all the trees will lift and clap with holy hands,
and we will dance and shout before Your Throne.

So let Your rain come down and join the snows from heaven
and not return, but overflow the earth,
which shall be filled with the knowledge of Your Glory
and every knee will bow and tongue confess Your Worth.

CELEBRATION

You have washed away the tears that I have wept
with Living Water.
You have satisfied my hunger
with the Manna of Your Word.
You have quenched the thirst that plagued me
in this barren lonely desert,
and overwhelmed me with the splendor of Your Worth…
and awed me with the wonder of Your Love…
and filled my lonely places with Your Holy Spirit…
and lifted me to heights in Heaven above.

I dance with joy
as I delight in Your great Love
and marvel in the grandeur of Your awesome Majesty.
I sing my songs
of love and joyous celebration.
May they rise as fragrant incense
there before Your Throne above…
And as I gaze upon the glimpses of Your Glory,
I lift my hands in exaltation
and my heart in adoration.

I will dance, and I will sing with celebration
for the wonder of Your Love that’s lifting me.
You’ve washed away…
You’ve satisfied…
You’ve quenched the thirst…
and overwhelmed me.
I celebrate…
I sing Your praise…
I lift my hands…
I lift my heart…

MY ROCK, MY SONG, MY JOY, MY KING

You are the Rock that I cling to.
You are the Song that I sing.
You are the Joy in my darkest night.
You are my Savior and King.

The Rock that I cling is Immovable
The Song that I sing never ends.
The Joy of my life is so brilliant, so bright,
Jesus, my sweetest of Friends.

You are the Rock that I cling to.
You are the Song that I sing.
You are the Joy in my darkest night.
You are my Savior and King.

You are my Savior and King.
You are my Savior and King.
You are my Savior and King.

EVERY KNEE WILL BOW

Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.
Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.

For You, O God, ordained it
from the very start,
that You would hold the rulership
of each and every heart.

Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.
Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.

So let Your Will be done
from sea to shining sea…
throughout all space…
throughout all time...
but Lord, begin with me.

Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.
Every knee will bow ~
and every tongue confess
that You are Lord.

Every knee...
Every tongue…
Every heart
shall bow…

??? ~ UNFINISHED

Your works are so amazing
I’m awed by all I see
The splendor of Your glory
Your awesome majesty
I climb into Your Presence
You take my breath away
I’m desperate to hear Your Voice
to hear my Father say,

“Well done; my child, I love you.
Well done.” I love it
when You call my name.

Have any suggestions for finishing this one?

I THANK YOU

I thank You for the flowers and for the birds that sing –
for every ounce of beauty that Your creation brings…
the painted sky at sunrise and when the day doth close,
for fluffy clouds and dazzling stars, and the beauty of the rose.

I thank You for the sunshine; I thank You for the rain.
I thank You for Your Promise that You will come again.
I thank You for Your Presence that is so sweet to me.
But most of all I thank You for the Love You’ve shown to me.

I thank You for Your Body that You laid down for me
to make a path that I could walk into Eternity.
I thank You for Your Spirit that dwells with me each day.
That all the Earth may know You, for this I’ll daily pray.

I thank You for the good times; I thank You for the bad.
I’ll thank You when I’m happy, and even when I’m sad.
For You are ever with me, and this I know is true.
You carry me – You set me free. I will ever worship You.
